SWEET HOPE WITHIN US
Beautiful Truth! Sweet Hope within us!
The Day awaits when we'll have no pain;
Sorrows and tears will all be forgotten.
No troubles shall, Heaven's gates, gain.
Sing Praises to our Lord and Savior!
Praises to GOD for eternal LOVE!
Praises for wondrous Grace and mercy!
Praise for fair HOME awaiting above!
O let us rejoice for GOD's LOVE shining
Within our hearts to brighten our days!
Lighter, the weight of burdens and heartaches,
Just thinking of Home. To GOD be the praise!!
By the mercies of God,

HUNGER of the BLESSED
Child, are you hungry; do you thirst
After the righteousness of GOD?
If this be your case, you're blessed,
Greatly blessed, upon life's road.
Do you find your spirit
Being drawn to the things of GOD?
Recognize this wondrous blessing.
Rejoice! Your Savior, applaud!
Have you desire for communion
With others who love GOD too?
Know that you're highly favored!
GOD's Grace encompasses you!
GOD declared, those shall be filled
Who hunger and thirst after righteousness.
HIS table is laden with holy comforts.
HIS lovingkindness, confess!
By the mercies of God,

QUIETUDE
LORD, help me to seek quietude,
To seek it carefully, till found ---
Some time set apart for devotions,
Away from hustle and bustle and sound;
A while to meditate upon THEE,
Thy lovingkindness, and Thy Grace ---
Upon Thy LOVE, unparalleled,
Which transcends ages, time, and space.
Quietude --- A time for prayer
And thanksgiving to THEE O GOD.
Impel my heart to find quietude,
To commune with THEE, Almighty LOVE!
By the mercies of God,

HUSH NOW HEART
Hush now heart! Forbid the fear
That would steal your joy away.
Hold to Hope and joy in Christ!
Remember your Savior today!
Cast all gnawings of dread aside;
Only trust in your Savior's Love.
No trouble you have can stop the LORD
From watching o'er you from above.
Stop where you are! Look within.
Seek the Covert in WHOM we hide.
Think upon His power to save.
Rejoice! GOD's SPIRIT, within you, abides.
By the mercies of God,

ABIDING LOVE
How wondrous, Thy presence, O LORD,
Holy essence of abiding LOVE,
Deep within our hearts residing,
Glorious gift from above!
We know THOU art everwhere;
No place is too deep for THEE;
Neither, for THEE, a place too high,
Nor, too wide, heavens or seas.
As we meet with cares and sorrows;
When we have pains and distress;
It is THEE WHO stills our storms;
Peace is of THEE, we confess!
Thank YOU for Abiding LOVE!
Thank YOU for Thy peace within.
Thank YOU for the sweet assurance,
Thy LOVE for us shall never end.
By the mercies of God,

Foretastes of Heaven
Rest in Thee, LORD; peace and love:
Bless us with these things today.
Abide with us, dear Comforter;
Banish clouds of fear away.
Let the warm glow of Thy Love
Flood our hearts with perfect Hope.
May we yield to THEE our burdens ---
Everything of troubling scope.
Sweet foretastes of Heaven, give us.
Oppositions to peace, remove.
LORD, we trust in THEE for comfort.
Envelop us, Almighty LOVE!
By the mercies of God,

To See Beyond Me
LORD, bless me to see beyond myself,
Beyond my wants, my cares, and needs,
Beyond my desires, my aspirations,
Beyond selfish motives I fail to see.
Grant me a heart of understanding,
One full of love for my fellow man.
Bless, that I see what really matters;
Shine in my heart; hold THOU my hand!
Bless me to know how to exhort, LORD;
Bless me to have kind words and deeds;
Plant in my heart, seeds of Thy mercy;
Of Thy rich Grace, wilt THOU grant these?
Let me forgive those who would hurt me;
Cleanse THOU my heart, so I rightly pray;
THOU, Light and Strength and Hope of my life,
LORD, how I need THEE, this very day!
By the mercies of God,

Little Warrior of Faith
O little warrior of great faith,
How does your trust holds strong?
How is it, you, so young and small,
Among great soldiers, belong?
Whence, the fire within your heart?
What, its source of power?
How is it, you stay the course,
During dark and trying hour?
Tell us how, such strength, you hold;
Or, is it Strength holding you?
Tell where such may be found.
Is it but for a chosen few?
Surely, the kind of faith you prove
Is a greater thing by far
Than can be given by mortals.
Has it come from afar?
From beyond the realms of man?
From beyond his reach and sight?
Is such not from the Great I AM,
The GOD of Love and Light?
Onward in faith, then, little one!
Rest upon your Savior's Love.
Let your light burn brightly;
Glorify GOD above!
By the mercies of God,

No Language Fit for the KING
Our words aren't great enough,
High enough, deep enough;
Neither, wide enough; nor, wise:
We have nothing that compares to
The GOD WHO rules the skies!
No language fit for such a KING!
We're as before consuming fire ---
Our tongues, our minds, impotent
To describe ONE infinitely higher!
Yet, this ONE of WHOM we speak
Is the most merciful of all!
HE took mortality upon HIMSELF
To redeem His chosen from the Fall ---
From condemnation and deserved Hell!
From endless pain and woe!
From a fate much worse than death,
Which satan and his armies shall know!
O LORD give us language of heart;
Fit us with praise the immortals know,
That we may glorify Thy Name,
As we journey here below.
By the mercies of God,

Thankful Today
I'm so thankful that GOD reigns;
Thankful, that HE gave me life;
Thankful, for blessings I've known;
Thankful, that HE hears my cries;
So thankful, for HIS watchcare;
And, for HIS abounding Grace;
So very thankful, for Jesus Christ
Who suffered in my place;
Thankful, for Hope, joy, and Love,
For indescribable peace;
Thankful, for the Grace of GOD;
Thankful, for all of these:
For loving family and friends;
Thankful, GOD's Kingdom is here;
Thankful, for HIS churches;
Thankful, HE's always near;
Thankful, GOD's mercies endure:
We're clothed, fed, and given drink;
We have homes in which to live,
Protection against cold and heat.
Should I attempt to list all blessings,
I could only scarcely begin!
Then, let me say, "Thank You LORD"!
"Thank You", Almighty FRIEND!
By the mercies of God,

Help our Unbelief!
O glorious Way, excelling all,
To THEE we come today,
Confessing our lives are of THEE.
Thy mercies, LORD, we pray.
Evil abounds, fueling strife;
We're often prone to fear.
Perfect Author, Giver of Life;
Our hearts' desires, please hear.
We pray, help our unbelief!
Let our trust in THEE be full.
Bless us at Thy Throne of Grace;
Our doubts and fears, annul.
Help, that our thoughts daily run
Attuned by Thy power and love;
That, we take Thy yoke upon us,
And learn, and rest in THEE above!
By the mercies of God,

How Praise Thee
O precious Lord Who died for me,
That I have life eternally;
Lord Who became my sin and shame,
Praises, praises, to Thy Name!
Praises, for Thy completed work!
Salvation's cost, Thou did'st not shirk.
Praises, Lord; for, in my heart
Burns living Hope Thou dids't impart!
O how to rightly thank Thee
For wondrous blessings which I see?
How, O Lord, Who conquered death,
Who gave Thy Life, Thy blood, Thy breath?
With song, in walk, in speech, by love,
Let me praise Thee, Lord above.
Then, when leaves my mortal breath,
May I praise Thee perfectly, after death.
By the mercies of God,

Mine to Cherish
Mine to cherish for a while;
Mine to love, mine to train
By example and exhortations:
This child, "my child", I claim.
This child, mine just a little while,
Forevermore to GOD belongs.
No safer place can e'er be found
Than in HIS hands, almighty strong.
I am not the ultimate safeguard.
Life often hurts; and, I can't cure.
Many heartaches may be known;
But, GOD gives strength to endure.
O dear child, your safety lies
In GOD's perfect, capable hands!
LORD, I confess, this child is Thine!
Hold him/her safe in Grace's bands!
By the mercies of God,

Joyous New Year!
As, begins, the brand new year,
Let us give thanks to GOD
For life and breath, food and drink,
For things so wondrous good.
At the first light of this day,
May our hearts be filled with joy,
As the darkness flees away,
Praises to the LORD, employ.
Can't we all in wonder say,
By Grace, our hearts are fed;
That, surely, of GOD's mercies,
We've been lovingly led?
O then greet the day with joy!
Begin the year in faith and love!
Let the focus of our hearts
Be upon HIM WHO reigns above!
By the mercies of God,
