Called To A Higher Love
Have you been called to a Higher Love,
A Love, that knows great sacrifice?
Do you find yourself in some circumstance
Where fears are mounting against you, rife?
Is there someone whom you dearly love
Who needs strength you’re unable to give?
Are problems looming as a great mountain;
And you know you can’t give strength to live?
Child, you’re called forth to a “Higher Love”,
To love, though the outlook may seem dim.
Remember in faith that God will provide.
Carry every heartache and grievance to Him.
To love when pain seems always present,
To love when self-sufficiency is gone,
To love, in trials, through pain and tears,
Is to trust God Who within you has shone.
Trust Him! Speak your faith to Him daily.
Tell Him you know that He loves best.
Trust Him! Believe that He’ll give you comfort
Even, as you’re weeping upon His breast.
Surely, no other has known such grief
As did our Lord for those He loves.
In love He took our sins and died;
And, for us, He now intercedes above.

KJV, John 15:13
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man l ay down his life for his friends
By the mercies of God,

Protect Thine In Battle
Lord, please comfort Thy dear children
Who're fighting on a battlefield.
We pray a shield of Thy protection,
All about them Thou would'st build.
Take the place of fathers, mothers,
Siblings, friends; with them reside.
Rise within them; quell their fears;
Be the covert where they can hide.
Let them know that Thou art present;
Let their faith in Thee wax strong.
Foil the enemies best-laid plans
Against those, whom to Thee belong.
How we thank Thee for these brave ones,
For their strength that Thou hast given.
Thank You Lord, Shield and Buckler.
O keep them safe by Word of Heaven.
By the mercies of God,

Thou Hast Given Strength To Me
As I live and breathe and move,
Let me with thankful heart e'er be,
Realizing in the wonders of life,
"Thou hast given strength to me!"
Thou lendest strength to my hands,
Whether for a lovely quilt to sew,
Or for hammering to drive a nail,
With a hard and powerful blow.
No vital heartbeat within for life,
Not one breath to fill my lungs,
Not even one digestive process,
By self-power have I begun.
When I'm walking, working, singing,
When my eyes behold the day,
While my ears are hearing praises,
Let my soul, enraptured, say:
Lord, I thank Thee for this blessing:
For strength of life coming from Thee!
Thou art Life Itself, I now see clearly.
Praises for strength Thou givest me!
By the mercies of God,
