Under cloudy skies, wind from the south at seven mph, eighty percent chance of thunder showers, with the temperature at sixty-seven degrees.

"And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them."(John 8:2)

I have often wondered what it would have been like for Jesus to sit down in person and teach us. I realize that if we are hearing the truth preached by our ministers today, it ought to be to us as if it come directly out of the mouth of Jesus, because what we hear is the testimony of him. Yet as I think of how he taught them, he sat down and taught them. The people had a one on one fellowship with him. I can only wonder at the awe that they must have felt to be taught by the one that was going to bleed and die for them and take away their sins, and of the power that proceeded out of the mouth of God. We read in the scriptures that no man spake like this man spake, he spake with all the authority of God because he was God manifested in the flesh. He speaks and the blind see, the lepers are cleansed, the lame walk and the dead is raised. Just to be able to sit at the feet of Jesus and hear the gracious words that fell from his lips. How refreshing, how comforting, how marvelous his words must have been to them, yet I would not leave out of how wonderful the words of the Lord is to us as it is preached in the power of the Spirit, as the Lord blesses that truth to us today..
