Under cloudy skies, wind from the south at 12 mph, with the temperature at 65 degrees.

"Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving." (Colossians 2:7)

Paul continues this letter encouraging them to continue in that which they have received, not only to continue, but to be rooted and built up in him. The term carries the thought of being settled, to be grounded, to be complete in knowledge of the truth. Yet Paul strengthened his words by saying, be stablished in the faith, that is, to confirm as being confirmed as to know with assurance. The word faith is used several different ways in the scriptures, such as God`s faith, your faith, as to trust, but hear it carries the thought of truth, or as you have been taught the truth. There with we are to abound thankful, giving thanks always.
