Prayer Needs, Birthdays, Notable Happenings

Sister Debbie Grantham lost her mother at the end of March.. Her stepfather has had health problems, as has she. Pray for them.

Sister Lisa Marie Harris was united in holy matrimony with David Patrick on June 20. The wedding was held in the Harris' back yard (which they worked very hard to make beautiful) and the reception at David's restaurant in Ft. Lupton, "The Branding Iron". Lisa was beautiful, David handsome, the service lovely, and the reception delicious. Pray for their marriage and the success of David's business. Try it some time, the food is wonderful! We also understand that construction is underway on their new home. Congratulations!!! (late note: They just moved into their new home)

Sister Martha Pitney was involved in an auto accident. She is recovering nicely, but her car didn't make it.

Sister Joyce Parten has had extensive oral surgery and is experiencing a great deal of pain, still. Remember her in your prayers.

August 6 - Janet Douglas was united in holy matrimony with Michael Pakech. We pray that God will bless this union and their family. Janet has two children, Samantha and John, and Michael has two children, also. (His son, Cody, lives with them; daughter is grown.)

August 17 - Tom and Mary Brown celebrated their 55th Wedding anniversary. A barbeque was held on August 23rd to celebrate their 55th year and Janet and Michael's 2nd week.

Fifth Sunday in August we held a two day meeting in Denver. It was a wonderful weekend.

Sister Lesa Harris has a new position with the same school district that she has been with for many years. We pray her new job is exactly what she wanted. It sounds wonderful.

Sister Nelda New lost her mother in early September. We pray for peace for this precious sister and her family.

We have a new member, Sister Cynthia Harlin. She joined us by letter from the Clovis, New Mexico Primitive Baptist Church. God blesses us with her cheery presence every Sunday.

Sister Linda Lankford lost her grandmother, Sister Flo's mother. She was 98 and more than ready to go home, as hard as it was to see her go. Pray for the family.

Elder Clem Cook lost his nephew, Steven Cook (who was also a cousin of Sister Dena Pauletti, sister Linda Lankford, and Brother and Sister Jim Smyth in a tragic motorcycle accident. The Cook family desperately needs our prayers. Steve was the youngest son of Elder Cook's brother, Alan Cook.

Brother Tom is continuing to have some health problems, but has lost a tremendous amount of weight and found a new doctor. We pray for his complete recovery from the pain he has been experiencing and for Sister Mary with their many burdens.

Sister Nancy Johnson is experiencing some health problems. We continue to pray for her and Brother Jim.

A blessed meeting was held in Ordway, CO third Sunday in October. All who attended were filled with joy and thanksgiving.
